Prices:

Draught proofing:

Prices generally range from £250 – £350 + Depending on size, condition etc.

We also offer an overhaul service for sashes, which includes planing/removing paint of running faces and priming of bare timber, some of the prep work necessary for decoration, and removal and replacement of loose putty. This service leaves the window in a much better state for it to be decorated to a high standard afterwards.

Prices are dependant on condition of the windows and an assessment would be required.

Generally an additional cost of £50 – £150

Double glazing:

Prices start at £1300 for base install of new double glazed Accoya sashes into the original boxes, draught-proofing and new fastener included. With additional costs for larger windows, glazing bars, complex joinery etc.

We do offer a redecoration service of the boxes for our double glazing refits.

Prices usually range from £300 – £500 extra depending on the size, style and condition of the boxes, any minor repairs etc.

Sill replacements:

Sill replacements typically range from £350 – £450 depending on the size of the sill, condition of the box lining.

For complex custom made joinery sills prices would be individual to each window and an assessment would be required on a case by case basis.

Rail replacements:

Lower rail replacements are typically £200 – £300 depending on the size and profile of the rail and if there are glazing bars.

Meeting rail replacements are typically £180 – £250 depending on size, Horns are extra and can vary in price as they must be custom made.

Casements and doors:

We also draught proof and renovate doors and casement windows. These typically cost around £150 – £300 for casement windows, and £150 – £350 for doors.

Minor rot repairs:

Sometimes rot on windows or other external joinery is only minor and doesn’t necessarily require replacement, for these we remove the rot, treating the timber, and then use an epoxy wood stabiliser / primer before remoulding with a high quality timber repair epoxy resin for long lasting repairs. Prices can range from £30-£100 depending on the severity of the rot.

Decoration:

Although we no longer offer a decoration service ourselves we work closely with a decorator who we recommend, they specialise in painting sashes and timber windows.

After our inspection we can provide a rough estimate as to what they’d charge and can arrange for them to visit to meet you and give a detailed quotation.
