The actual timber frames of the sashes are made of Accoya®, an environmentally friendly alternative to hardwoods that has been thoroughly tested for dimensional stability, durability and paint retention to ensure optimal performance. Indeed, it is so reliable that for many years it has been – and continues to be – used by scientists as the benchmark against which other treatments and modifications are measured.

The pulleys are also replaced with new brass or chrome pulleys, these not only provide better function but improve the appearance of the finished window. The new sashes are installed into the refurbished boxes, with extra lead weights added to balance the new, heavier sashes. new cords are used, as well as new beading with integrated draught proofing brush pile. Any gaps and pin holes are caulked and filled and all of the box and beading are finish painted to give a seamless, high-quality finish. New fasteners and security locks can now be added to improve the security of your home. All of our double glazed units come with a 10-year guarantee as standard.
